Ambassador SHINDO presented his credentials to His Excellency President Boko

     On the 24th February 2025, His Excellency Ambassador SHINDO Yusuke of Japan presented his credentials to His Excellency Adv. Duma Gideon Boko, President of the Republic of Botswana.

     At the ceremony, Ambassador SHINDO expressed his condolences for the loss of life and damage caused by the heavy rains and flooding in Botswana. He conveyed His Majesty Emperor Naruhito’s message of hope for further enhancement of the friendly and amicable relations between the two countries, and highlighted his determination to make every effort to strengthen bilateral relations in his capacity as the Ambassador of Japan.

     His Excellency President Boko expressed his appreciation for Japan’s longstanding support, noting that Japan was one of the countries that established diplomatic relations with Botswana soon after the latter’s independence. He acknowledged the development of friendly ties and the deepening of cooperative relations between the two nations over the years, and reaffirmed his commitment to further strengthen the relations.
