Japan, FAO launch food and nutrition security project

On 11 April 2019, Ambassador Kozo Takeda attended the launch event of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) Project 'Emergency response to improving food and nutrition security caused by poor rain and Fall armyworm in Botswana'.
The Government of Japan recently confirmed an additional voluntary contribution of more than 10 million USD to FAO's work. 500,000 USD are allocated to the implementation of this Project in Botswana to ensure food and nutrition security of rural communities.
