2026 JET Programme Application

The Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Programme position, Assistant Language Teachers (ALT) in Fukui Prefecture, is open for Botswanan nationals.
ALT duties:
Participants mainly assigned to boards of education and elementary, junior high or senior high schools are to carry out their duties as assistants to foreign language instruction supervisors or Japanese teachers of foreign language as specified by the supervisor, head of the board of education, and/or school principal.
Application Deadline: Friday, 30th January 2026 at 1600 hrs
Applications can be hand-delivered to the Embassy of Japan in Botswana, 4th floor Barclays House, Plot 8842, Khama Crescent, Gaborone.
Alternatively, you can submit via e-mail (make sure that your e-mail is less than 10 MB) to: culture-pr@gr.mofa.go.jp
*The available position is ALT in Fukui Prefecture only.
*After the documents screening, selected candidates will be invited for interviews at the Embassy of Japan on 2nd March 2026. (tentative)
*Selected candidates who submitted application documents by email must bring their original documents to the interviews.
*Arrival date in Japan for the selected ALT is 2nd August 2026.
